Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa rinsed and drained
- 2 cups Water or unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Diced fresh fruit
- 1/4 cup Chopped nuts such as almonds, pecans or walnuts
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup or honey optional
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring the quinoa, water or almond milk, salt, and cinnamon to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1520 minutes, or until the quinoa is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff the quinoa with a fork and transfer it to a serving bowl.
- Stir in the diced fruit, nuts, and maple syrup or honey (if using).
- Enjoy while still warm!
