Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup quinoa rinsed and drained
  • 2 cups Water or unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Diced fresh fruit
  • 1/4 cup Chopped nuts such as almonds, pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup or honey optional

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, bring the quinoa, water or almond milk, salt, and cinnamon to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1520 minutes, or until the quinoa is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  • Fluff the quinoa with a fork and transfer it to a serving bowl.
  • Stir in the diced fruit, nuts, and maple syrup or honey (if using).
  • Enjoy while still warm!
